This workshop is designed for PreK-Grade 3 educators who want to empower their youngest learners with the foundational concepts of coding through Scratch Jr.. This free and engaging app utilizes a visual block-coding interface, making it easy for children aged 5-7 to create their own interactive animations and stories on iPads, Android tablets, and Chromebooks. Participants will explore the Scratch Jr. environment, learn the basic building blocks of programming, and discover playful and effective strategies for integrating this powerful tool into their early elementary curriculum. This hands-on course will equip educators with the confidence and resources to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and early computational thinking in their young students through the exciting world of Scratch Jr. (1 CPD)
