Full course description
This two-day introductory training course is designed specifically for educators with little to no prior experience in programming. Participants will embark on a hands-on journey to learn the fundamentals of Python, a versatile, readable, and widely-used programming language. Through engaging activities and practical exercises tailored to educational contexts, educators will gain a foundational understanding of core programming concepts such as variables, data types, control structures (loops and conditionals), and basic data structures. This course aims to empower educators with the skills and confidence to integrate computational thinking into their curriculum, create simple educational tools, automate tasks, and foster an understanding of the technology that shapes our world. By the end of the training, participants will be able to write basic Python programs and understand the fundamental building blocks of software development. (1 CPD)
