This course explores the core principles and effective practices for teaching computer science across various educational levels. Participants will examine how students develop computational thinking skills and learn key CS concepts, focusing on evidence-based instructional strategies tailored for the discipline. Topics include designing engaging learning activities and projects, developing effective assessment methods for coding and problem-solving, and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learner needs. Special attention is given to creating equitable and inclusive classroom environments that broaden participation in computing, incorporating strategies like Universal Design for Learning and culturally relevant teaching.
