Full course description
This professional development program equips faculty with essential skills and knowledge to design and deliver digitally accessible courses that benefit all learners. Through asynchronous content, hands-on workshops, personalized consultations, and collaborative learning, participants will master the principles of universal design for learning (UDL) and implement practical accessibility solutions in their own courses.
This mini-grant program supports faculty through the entire process of accessibility enhancement, from initial course evaluation to implementation of improvements. Upon successful completion, participants will earn the Accessibility-Centered Educator microcredential, demonstrating their commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
The program combines synchronous workshops with asynchronous learning activities and one-on-one consultations with accessibility experts. Faculty will apply their learning directly to their own courses, resulting in immediate improvements to course accessibility while building long-term capacity for inclusive design across the institution.
Participants receive comprehensive training materials, facilitation resources, a $1,500 professional development stipend, and a microcredential to demonstrate competency.
